Dani Weatherholt

Name: Dani Weatherholt

Location: San Clemente, CA & Orlando, FL

Job: Professional Women's Soccer Player

Fondest Memory: Traveling to a rural town called Constanza in the Dominican Republic, and thinking I could speak Spanish. Learning I indeed was not as good as I thought, but once I put a soccer ball down kids came running from every corner and walks of life. Even though our conversation was very broken, we played for hours as if we had been friends forever. We Laid down on the field, exhausted, in complete silence for over an hour, and when we stood up they all helped lift me and proceeded to brush any dirt or grass off of me, as if I was family. I will cherish that memory forever.

Wildest Dream: Travel the World and Photograph/share the stories of all the incredible people I meet along the way.

Why the Young & Brave Foundation: Last year I became close to a young boy who was battling Brain Cancer. Every step off the way he demonstrated grace, strength, bravery, and love as he overcame this disease. His fight inspired me in ALL aspects of my life. His family’s endless love and support encouraged me to extend that kind of audacious love to everyone I met. Because Love inspires, love encourages, and love is what the Young and the Brave foundation is all about! I hope to make a difference in someone’s life, the way Zayne and his family made a difference in mine.
