I was running during baseball and I felt a sharp pain down my leg. I went home later after practice to find a bump the size of a fist on my outer calf. At the time I was a catcher. My mom and I thought it was muscle and we massaged it and went on. When we went to go see the pediatrician for physicals the pediatrician said “that’s not Normal.” After that she sent me to CHLA to have an MRI. They found the cancer where the lump was. I also had my lungs full of tumors as well. My oncologist put my through 14 rounds of harsh chemotherapy. I lost all my hair. I went through surgerys, radiation, and tests, and 10 months later I was declared cancer free or in remission.
